How would you describe your style and approach to decorating your home?
My approach to decorating is two-fold.
One, to go slowly and intentionally.

Its important to me that my belongings have meaning and I actually lovenot rapid buys to finish the space.
And two, to not be afraid of color.
I historically am not very experimental in the color department.

Through friends, I learned about theChinese art of feng shui.
I consult this practice a lot with the placement of items in my home like my bed and mirrors.
What were the greatest finds in your home?

A year later, I wasbrowsing Facebook Marketplaceafter a tribal meeting and saw the mirror.Mymirror.
And I was firm in my desire.
I had it delivered that same night and it felt like the piece that brought my living room together.

Do you have a favorite design feature or room?
Definitely, my front room the living roomis my favorite space.
I live in a brownstone and the windows have built-in wooden shutters that latch closed.

The light is the best there and it also features this bookcase Ive spent a lot of time curating.
This room feels like the physical manifestation of my life, travels, and loved ones.
Its also where I hang out most with loved ones and share meals.
I also love how my plants have come together in this space.
