What made you decide that being a designer was your calling?

I have always been fascinated by the art of creating beautiful and functional spaces.

However, I have come to realize that becoming an interior designer may not be my true calling.

Instead, I view this career path as an exciting avenue to explore within my broader creative life journey.

How would you describe your style and approach to designing spaces?

This approach enables me to conceptualize designs that align with their unique visions and requirements.

I truly believe that beauty can be found in unique and ingenious ways to solve design challenges.

What design project have you done thats stuck with you throughout your career?

It meant the world to me that afellow Black Designerwanted to congratulate and welcome me as a top designer!

I must admit, however, that this project was one of the most challenging experiences of my life.

At first, I was filled with enthusiasm and excitement to get started.

But soon, I realized that I was facing some unique obstacles.

Nevertheless, I have always been my own advocate, and this situation was no exception.

I embraced the DIY spirit and took matters into my own hands.

I didn’t stop thereI also tackled wallpapering andlaid the flooringon my own.

It was an incredible amount of work, but I was determined to create something truly special.

In the end, all my efforts paid off.

My space became one of the most published areas in the entire house!

This achievement solidified my belief that I belong in this world, no matter the obstacles I face.

It was a true testament to my resilience andpassion for design.

What does it mean to you to be Black in your industry?

However, I understand that we still have a journey ahead to address these issues effectively.

By doing so, we can pave the way for a more inclusive and diverse design industry.

Whats your favorite part of your own home?

I must admit that choosing just one would be quite a challenge!

What design trend are you tired of?

It’s amazing how this trend has breathed new life into traditional elements, combining simplicity and functionality.

Where’s the best place you’ve ever been design-wise?

I absolutely loved the design elements present in Bali.

The way architecture seamlessly blends with the rich cultural influences and the tropical environment is nothing short of stunning.
