The artist and designers 1200-square-foot home bursts with rosy tiles,blush walls, and bubblegum candles.

Yet, its grounded with forest green powder rooms and oaky woven cabinets in equal measure.
It all feels sort of miraculous.
Sunlight streams through floral stained glass slivers, while mirrors glow warmly from the inside out.

Its like a little hidden pocket with lots of pretty houses and quiet roads.
How would you describe your style and approach to decorating your home?

My style is colorful yet calm.
I love adding character and personality to our previously blandnew-build home.
I enjoy subtly clashing patterns and textures in a way that isnt overwhelming, particularly in the bedroom.

I love incorporating pink in our home, and luckily so does my husband!
I love including pieces that are culturally relevant, such as woodenmabkharas(oud burners) or Islamic art.
Who or what are your biggest design inspirations?

I’m veryinspired by nature.
My preferred color palette is inspired by spring flowers and cotton candy sunsets.
How does your heritage inform your style?

I am of Yemeni-Tanzanian heritage, and I spent the first 17 years of my life in Dubai.
Any other cultures you take design notes from?
Im very inspired by Moroccan design, too!

I love using mini tagines to store my hijab pins!
What were the greatest finds in your home?
Our best find has to be thetraditional Islamicartwork on our stairwell.

I found these dumped at the tip [a dump] some time ago.
Now they take pride of place on our stairwell.
Do you have a favorite design feature or room?
Farwa Moledina
Its overlooked by the trees at the back so it can get quite dark.
The pink base is calming and light, with just enough color to sustain me!
I spend a lot of time in the living room!
