Desk Mats displayed on a top of a white table

We still found it prevented crumbs from getting underneath the mat.

After six months of daily use, it still looked greatwith zero scratches or discolorations.

Our experience using it at home was also very positive.

Like other picks on our list, the cork backing kept the pad firmly on our glass desk.

Our only concern with this desk mat was related to proper care of the Merino wool felt.

The material is water-resistant, so liquids pooled on the surface and were easy to clean up.

We think this is due to the flexible design, but it didn’t terribly interfere with our work.

Speaking of our mouse, it also slid very smoothly across this surface, which was a major bonus.

We attribute its minimal slippage to the sheer size of the mat.

However, the loop did manage to hold our monitor cable and charging cable.

The material is also easy to wipe clean.

This hefty desk mat has full-grain leather side panels and a microsuede back to hold it in place.

Your mileage may vary in this respect, depending on the exact size of your desk.

We do also think the partial leather construction of this pad is slightly disappointing given the premium price point.

After six months of use, we think it continues to look sleek and beautiful with no noticeable blemishes.

It stayed in place while we used it and provided excellent traction to our wireless mouse.

Cork provides excellent traction, which we found through our testing.

However, we recommend always being diligent about wiping major spills or water rings to avoid accidental stains.

You’ll also find narrower mats intended forwriting desks, workbenches, countertops, and built-instanding desks.

Additionally, stands could leave indents on softer desk mat materials.

We also think that desk mats should also offer some cushioning, without being overly thick.

Most are between 0.05 to 0.2 inches thick (or roughly 1 to 5 millimeters).

Thinner designs are often rollable, like theLogitech Studio Series Desk Mat, our best for small desks pick.

Some have rounded corners, and others feature a clean-lined aesthetic.

Most are relatively simple-looking, as they’re generally not considered decorative.

Its also very large to fit on wider standing desks.
