Cotton tends to be more prone to shrinkage than other materials, so we tracked this for each set.
Texture was a key factor in our long-term testing.
We also considered breathability, noting how much air flow each set provided.
We had testers with various body temperatures assess whether the sheets caused overheating throughout the testing period.
These refer to the weave of the fabric, or how the fibers of the material overlap.
Which weave is best is really a matter of personal preference.
Both weave types offer advantages.
Sateen looks and feels more luxurious but can hold more heat.
It can serve as an indicator of quality but shouldnt be the sole factor when comparing sheets.
However, the Chateau Home set showed no signs of concerning wear after six months.
