If you don’t have a cold-hardy succulent, verify to bring it in before the first frost.
First, add mulch to help insulate the succulent.
Then, confirm that potted outdoor succulents have effective drainage so extra water doesn’t freeze.
Lastly, avoid watering succulents over the winter.

Repot Your Plants
Use this period of cleaning up and annual maintenance torepot your succulents.
Place them in a bright, sunny window where they can soak up the rays and enjoy warmer temperatures.
She uses a simple tool you might have around the housea chopstick.
“The chopstick method works like testing a cake with a toothpick,” Perry says.
“Insert the chopstick into the soil.
Duringwinter dormancy, youll often find that your succulents need less water than usual.”
Ideally, the room should stay between 55 degrees and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Most succulents will thrive in direct sunlight, particularly during the winter when they’re craving warmth.
