Nakia first got into plants when he was little.
I knew that thats how I wanted to live.

Nakia’s most unique plant is hisGolden Rat Tail Cactuswhich is a stunning trailing cactus.
Strikingly beautiful, its covered in tons of tiny needles which some of his guests find intimidating.
With that many plants some wacky things can start happening.
Itleavesa pretty cool plant to be admired (sorry for the awful pun, we couldnt help ourselves).
Nakia has also had a few casualties along the way.
He recently tried to nurse aKalanchoeback to life but says that, unfortunately he is passing.
Nakia has a great attitude when it comes to plant losses.
Through experience Ill learn how to take care of more like it.
When you live with 350 plants you mightstart talking to themand Nakia says he does all of the time.
One plant he likes to check up on is his favorite, a Philodendron X Evansii.
If youre going to take a tour of Nakias apartment, you cant miss out on his exotic room.
Hes got the humidity cranked way up in here so he can keep his tropical plants happy.
Another plant that lives in that room is hisAnthuriumRadican which he actually misplaced for about three weeks.
Its a smaller plant so he just couldnt see it among his other ones!
For Nakia it was hisAlocasiaSerendipity.
It really thrives in his home and he believes that thats because when youre happy your plants are happy.
