Even my spellcheck is against the idea.

But, after reading about the principles behind reclutteringalsosometimes called cluttercoremy interest was piqued.

So, ahead of spring cleaning, I decided to do the opposite.

See below how I fared in my attempt to reclutter.

In my dream world, these shelves would all be lined withwall-to-wall books.

Unfortunately, the shelves themselves didn’t lend themselves to this plan.

Up until now, I filled them with family photos and a few coffee table books.

In the spirit of recluttering, I decided to change things up.

I decided to start by adding items into these specific spots and see how that worked.

The Midpoint: Finally Feeling Well-Cluttered

The midpoint of this project was the most daunting.

As a result, I wasn’t sure what to really put here.

Next, I decided to sprinkle around some smaller decor items.

This weekend, I picked up two bud vases by a British artist named Richard Pomeroy.

Best of all, one is perfectly aligned with the current “unexpected red theory” trend.

I was able to display other items Id normally store until a special occasion.

As a result, recluttering isn’t really about making clutter at all.

I call recluttering a winnow I just need to convince my spellcheck.
