I’ve wondered multiple times about what will happen to my belongings someday.

Who will inherit them?

Will they read my diary?

Using the Swedish death cleaning method to go through all my things encouraged me to work through these questions.

I frequently checked in with myself, emotionally, and considered what really matters and what does not.

And organized home leads to an organized mind.

Of course, that’s not to say that I didn’t hold onto anything sentimental.

I held onto quite a few things that have both sentimental value.

Swedish death cleaning doesn’t mean you have to get rid of everything you love.

The process truly made me think about how our time on Earth is limited.

Once I am gone, I want my family and loved ones to find objects that have value.

This system is an aspect of Swedish death cleaning.

In fact, it’s more of a state of mind.
