For the unfamiliar, laundry sheets are exactly how they sound.
They’re laundry detergent in the form of a flat, thin square, much like a dryer sheet.
But as I researched, I learned they’re also a truly plastic-free detergent alternative.

Laundry sheets, however, promise to ditch the plastic entirely.
Mostincluding the ones I orderedare stored in a cardboard box, further eliminating any plastic.

How Well Do Laundry Sheets Work?

I wasnt about to switch to laundry sheets just because theyre space savers.
I needed to know if they work just as wellif not betterthan all theother detergent optionsout there.
The Results
I was delighted to find that the load in general looked so much better.
Best of all, everything smelled great.
The laundry was clean, fresh, and not overly scented or fragrant.
Everything was brighter and whiter, although my sons shirt maintained a few faded spots of ketchup.
I dont think I can fully blame the detergent for this, though.
Ill just need to tackle it witha better stain remover.
I can only assume the detergent itself was affecting my skin, so I made another switch.
This time, I decided to try a more gentledetergent designed for sensitive skin.
I only note this because if the same thing happens to you, don’t be deterred.
Better yet, go in prepared and do your best to avoid handling the sheets without some extra precautions.
Consider me an official laundry sheet convert.
