Prepare The Clothing
Next, place the clothing onto an ironing board.
Lay it flat across the board and see to it there aren’t any big wrinkles or creases.

Cover the clothing with a clean white towelpolyester can melt if exposed to the heat of an iron directly.
Don’t use any steam when ironing.
If it’s still too large for your liking, try machine-washing and drying it on high heat.

Avoid boiling your polyester clothing.
The constant high temperatures can damage other fibers in the clothing, along with its dye and shape.
Polyester will probably shrink about one size in a wash cycle.
