If the stain remains, do not machine dry the garment and move to the next step.
Older watermelon stains may oxidize and if they have been dried, the heat has likely set the stain.
First, flush the stain in cold water.

Then wash it in the washing machine in warm water and a heavy-duty laundry detergent.
Use warm water and oxygen bleach to soak thewhite garmentfor at least a few hours if not overnight.
Rinse well and repeat if necessary.
