Search for two screwheads facing downward.
These will be the security screws.
Confirm that they arePhillips head (cross-shaped)screws.
Tip
If the screws do not have Phillips heads, they may have square or star-shaped heads.
These requirea different screwdriverto remove them.
Remove the Security Screws
Guide the screwdriver to one of the security screws.
As the assistant holds the TV steady, turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise until the screw is fully removed.
Unscrew and remove the other screw.
Remove the TV
Move the TV to the resting area.
Be careful to avoid stepping on trailing wires.
Unplug all cords leading to the TV.
Usually, there are two of them and they have Phillips heads or Allen heads.
Move the TV to the safe spot.
With tilting or fixed TV mounts, it is not possible to get behind the mounted TV.
Instead, you unscrew two screws from the bottom, then hook the TV from the wall mount.
