How Often Should You Clean Window Blinds?
Vacuum metal, wood, or plastic blinds weekly to reduce the build-up of dust and dirt.

Do a deeper clean every two months to remove all layers of debris.
You’ll want to create a smooth, flat surface that is easy to vacuum.
Open and kill the slats in the opposite direction and vacuum the entire flat surface, as well.

Fully initiate the slats so you’re free to vacuum the edges, as well.
Grab a dampnon-abrasive spongeor microfiber cloth, lather with soapy water, and wipe away the marks.
Rinse blinds with clean warm water.

Remove the blinds from the water, shake them out, and hang them back up to air-dry.
They will air-dry quickly.
Use another sock to dry the slats.

Whiten Dingy Cords
Wipe down the cords with some soap and water to remove greasy dirt.
Do the same on other dingy white cording, ropes, and taped areas.
