What Is a Spider Cricket?
The good news is spider crickets arent actual spidersthough they bear a slight resemblance from a distance.
Cue the long legs (which are six, not eight) and humped backs.
Spider crickets are erratic and will not hesitate to aggressively jump at anything that frightens them.

Go ahead and clean out your basement and garage.
If theres one thing spider crickets cant resist snacking on, its moldy boxes.
Likewise, a well-kept garden is key to repelling these pests from your property altogether.
It might even do more damage than good.
Some spots to target include corners and behind appliances.
Dont forget to lure them with a tasty bait, such as moldy bread or pet food.
Begin by filling the bucket quarter full and add the dishwashing liquid.

corners and cracks) instead of treating the entire floor.
