Wet the silver with plain water.

Gently rub the silver in small circles torelease the tarnish.

The acetic acid in the vinegar will cut through the tarnish film.
Dish Soap and Water
Simply washing silver with dishwashing liquid and hot water will remove light tarnish.

Rinse and immediately dry the pieces with a microfiber cloth to prevent water spots.
All of these will damage the surface.
Use a non-geltoothpastethat does not contain additional whitening ingredients.

Tarnish is not permanent on silver.
