Remove the dust canister, empty it, and wash it in warm soapy water.

Then use a pair of small scissors to slowly cut away tangles.
Finally, use an old toothbrush or small brush to clean the beater bar bristles to remove trapped dust.

Disconnect the hose from the vacuum cleaner.

Hold the hose under a running faucet of warm water and flush away any trapped debris.
Hang the hose over a shower rod or somewhere it can drain well.
Do not reattach for 24 hours or until the hose is completely dry.

Wipe down the outer housing to remove dust and grime.
Allow to air dry.
Tapping the filter on the side of the sink or bin will help dislodge particles.

Gently rub it with your hands to ensure it gets completely clean.
Do not use any soap or detergent on the filter as it may corrode or damage the system.
Cover the openings on either end of the filter and shake it firmly to remove any residual dirt.

Pour the water out and check it.
If so, you’re ready to move on.
Once the water runs clear, shake the filter firmly to rid it of any excess water.

Leave it to air dry for at least 24 hours.
Room-temperature air is best.
