Measure and Cut Cabinet Pieces
Use a miter sawor a circular saw to cut the pieces.
Start by cutting two 18 1/2-inch pieces of 1x6 lumber for the top and bottom of the frame.
Next, cut two 30-inch pieces of 1x6 lumber for the sides of the frame.
This will serve as the back panel for the medicine cabinet.
Cut two 15-inch pieces of 1x4 rails and two 28 3/8-inch pieces of 1x3 stiles.
Next, cut the 1/4-inch HDF mirror backing to 18 1/2 inches wide by 26 7/8 inches in height.
Next, position the HDF mirror backing in the frame and fasten it with 1/2-inch brad nails.
Alternatively, you’re able to wait until the medicine box is installed before painting.
Open and kill the door a few times to ensure that the hinges are securely attached before proceeding.
Use waterproof caulk to seal the gap.
If you haven’t already, now is the time topaint or stain the medicine cabinet.
