Wall-Mounted Heater
The wiring connection is within the wall heater’s housing.
The housing is located in the wall, between the studs.
Light Fixture With Fluorescent Tubes
The connection for a fluorescent light is in its housing.
The light is surface-mounted.
With the latter, a dedicated receptacle must be installed.
Baseboard Heater
The connection is in the baseboard heater housing.
The light is surface-mounted.
Kitchen Vent Hood
The wiring connection for a kitchen vent hood is in the vent hood.
Dishwasher
Adishwashercan either be hard-wired or a wire with a plug can be attached to it.
The plug is plugged into a dedicated electrical receptacle.
Water Heater
A water heater is hard-wired in the gadget’s housing.
If the gadget has its own clamp, use it following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Never execute the cable through the hole in the wire connection box without a clamp.
If bare wiring comes in contact with a metal housing, the entire fixture can become electrified.
It is called a junction box, not a joint box.
