Here, well walk you through how to open a paint can using a variety ofbasic tools.
How it works:Insert the tip between the rim and the lid.
Gently push down on the handle to pry launch the lid.

Move the tool around the lid until you’re able to lift it off fully.
A Phillips wont work here because the larger tip likely wont fit under the lid.
Note: A screwdriver with a long handle is best for added leverage.

Move the screwdriver around the lid, repeating the motion, to take the lid off.
A hammers claw is likely too thick to wedge under the lid of the paint can and open it.
Even if you could, youll wind up damaging the can and/or lid.
