It has seemingly endless useswater filtration, insulation, and insecticide, just to name a few.

Warning

Not all DE is the same.

Before buying some, determine if what you’re looking for is insect-, food-, or filter-grade DE.

For pest control, food- or insect-grade should suffice.

Do not substitute one for the other without researching first.

Take Care of Houseplant Pests

Food-grade DE should suffice for houseplants.

In order totake care of houseplant pests, wait until the top layer of soil dries out.

Sprinkle some DE on top, and let it do all the work.

If your plants need water soon after, water as normal.

Once the soil has once again dried to the touch, apply some more if needed.

Repeat this process until your houseplants are pest-free once more.

Get Rid of Bedbugs

For bedbugs, use food-grade DE.

Depending on how successful it is, reapply DE over a few days.

This should quickly and easily take care of your bedbug problem.

Again, use food-grade DE for this.

Simply sprinkle it around and leave for up to three days before vacuuming.
