Like many, I love the scent and look of a realChristmas tree.

As the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Instead, Gray recommends focusing onwater maintenanceand upkeep.
This will also help clear out any resin clogging up the trunk.
The new cut gets things flowing and allows your tree to drink up.
“Many folks underestimate how much water a real Christmas tree actuallydrinks,” she adds.
“A Christmas tree can drink about a quart of water per inch of trunk diameter.
This will help make ensure your tree stays fresh longer.”
