What’s in a Name?
The mainRosagenus is divided into four subgenera, and its main subgenus is also calledRosa.
Roses are usually called by their subgenus and cultivar name, for example,Rosa’Peace.'

Therefore, a Peace rose may also be called “RosasubgenusRosa,Hybrid Tea ‘Peace.'”
